**<u>WHAT IS WHYHOTEL?</u>**

Have you ever wondered where the WeWorks, Airbnbs, and Ubers of the world came from? It’s easy enough to simply enjoy these companies without thinking about how they grew to be the brands they are today. The reality is that they were built from the ground up by many dedicated people committed to taking a new idea and making it feel as though the world could not live without it. 

We at WhyHotel are carving out our own industry-changing company starting by making pop up hotels a thing. We are bringing flexibility to the most inflexible asset ever: high-rise real estate. Today, our hotels operate out of newly-constructed luxury apartment buildings (explainer video here); however, this is just the start. We’re using our current platform as the springboard to further blur the line between hospitality, home, and work. Our vision is to build the engine that makes real estate better, smarter, and more flexible for consumers, developers, investors, and cities alike.

With 3 hotels and growing, WhyHotel has secured around $15M in venture-financing in less than 18 months and is poised to scale.  We have a staff of 50 today, we are now seeking a 200+ A team players to join us in 2019.  If you’re interested in joining a fun, fast-paced, high-growth start-up, read on.


**<u>YOUR MISSION </u> **  

To design an intuitive and frictionless user experience that engages the customer and inspires travelers to learn more about WhyHotel properties and reserve rooms on our digital platforms.


**<u>YOUR LEGACY</u>**

You will have been part of a foundational digital marketing team that grew WhyHotel’s brand presence by leaps and bounds. You standardized digital touch points, ensuring brand consistency across all WhyHotel properties during the company’s first major growth phase.


**<u>YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS</u>**


**Over the first 4 weeks**

- Understand the overall WhyHotel customer experience from discovery, to booking, to check-in and check-out, and retention; leveraging data and customer insights.

- Analyze existing content and understand future goals/needs in order to create sitemaps and better process flows.

- Collaborate with the growth marketing team to rapidly prototype and design wireframes and visual designs for small-scale, yet impactful, changes to the WhyHotel website and email templates; ultimately improving the browsing and booking experience for WhyHotel customers.

- Use KPIs like conversion rate, bounce rate, session length, and others to guide your work.


**By 3 months**

- Partner with the marketing team to redesign WhyHotel’s landing pages, resulting in more engaging browsing experiences for our potential customers and guests.

- Work with Associate, Digital Marketing to conceptualize and build a set of innovative and practical email templates to engage our customers prior to, during, and after their stays; building brand loyalty along the way.

- Create digital visual style guidelines that can be used across all of WhyHotel’s digital platforms


**By 6 months + ongoing**

- Design an entirely new digital platform for WhyHotel guests, enabling shopping, booking and post-stay experiences.

- Be a thought partner on web, app, and email design needs to constantly evolve our repository of digital assets.

- Keep your finger on the pulse of design and technology trends in the design and hospitality spaces.

- Build out a team to support the design function as we grow our digital platforms and web design needs.

**Technical Requirements:**

- 3+ years of interactive UX/UI design experience in web (responsive desktop and mobile), native mobile, and graphic design

- MFA, BFA or BS in Human Factors, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or equivalent experience

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, Axure, Fireworks, InVision, or other visual design, wire-framing and prototyping tools

- Knowledge of best practices for interaction design for cross-platform devices and applications

**Start Date** : August 2019


**Salary** : Salary commensurate with experience - please be sure to tell us your salary expectations in our application.
