At Vivacity, our goal is to make cities smarter. Our work makes traffic lights more intelligent, reducing congestion; spots dangerous manoeuvres on the road, improving safety; and gathers real-time data to support autonomous vehicles & city management alike.

To do this, we create cutting-edge products using machine learning, including sensors with on-board video analytics capabilities, and city-wide control and optimisation algorithms. We are currently rolling out thousands of sensors across the UK, and seeking passionate Business Development Executive to join our sales team.

This is a golden opportunity for a keen and naturally-talented aspiring salesperson to join a great team in a cool, fast-growing tech startup based in Kentish Town.

Your day to day tasks will include:
- Working closely with the business development managers to scope and deliver key projects for the company.
- Researching organisations and individuals online to identify new leads and potential new markets.
- Emailing and calling prospects to establish their needs and explore any potential requirements for new work
- Effectively managing multiple projects and work streams.
- Providing marketplace feedback and competitive intelligence to internal groups to improve and enhance product offerings.
- Ensuring all required deliverables are produced to the highest quality and approved by all internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.
- Attending meetings and conferences in the UK and Europe, and industry events to deepen your understanding of the market.
- Preparing sales proposals, presentations, and forecasts.

The right person for this role will be someone with a positive and results-driven attitude and exceptional ability to partnerships with internal and external prospects that translate into revenue for the business.
To excel in this role you will bring:
- BA/BSc degree or higher
- A passion for sales, with some relevant experience from either professional or extra-curricular roles.
- Sales-driven, results-oriented and customer-focused approach.
- Highly motivated, adaptable, innovative and keen to learn new skills.
- An excellent team worker with the ability to work with a broad range of people.
- Dynamic communication combined with excellent creative and proactive problem-solving skills.
- A sociable nature, able to build relationships quickly with prospects.
- A keen interest and passion for digital marketing, media and or technology.
- Proven analytical and numerical aptitude.
- A fast learner, keen to assimilate information to make commercial judgments and recommendations.
- A multitasker, able to handle working on many different priorities simultaneously
