Camera-based sensors for smart robots

Our vision is to make intelligent robots available to everyone ­– to help us with manual work in manufacturing, in the office and at home. This goal necessitates a "vision first" approach on robots: Their advanced perception abilities are mainly based on cameras with a reduced set of specialised sensors and simplified hardware. Visevi Robotics offers computer vision solutions for service robots with manipulation skills. Our grasping software offers AI-based bin picking for unknown objects and texture-based picking of printed boxes and similar objects. Our patented camera-based software-based sensor solution provides rich sensory feedback by sight – including joint positions of the robot arm, force-torque and tactile data at the end-effector. Sensing is performed remotely, using a standard camera. There are no more electronic sensors – costly electronics are replaced by our software, reducing hardware complexity and weight, as well as costs of components, assembly and maintenance.
