Job description:

We have an amazing opportunity for an energetic, charismatic, detail-oriented, and analytical force-multiplier to join our fast-growing start-up. Like the rest of us, this person may wear many hats; But your primary objective will be to quarterback the launch of our new asset management platform to independent financial advisors across the country. (That means you need to sell the heck out of it) We want to show the finance world that artificial intelligence isn’t just here to compete for their jobs. If you get excited about bringing an entirely new platform to market, closing million-dollar deals every week, building a sales organization aimed at saving an industry from itself, and ensuring that all of the details needed to make all of that happen are covered, this is the role for you. As the Head of Sales, you will be joining our leadership team, and working closely alongside our CEO. You will work side by side with a world-class engineering team to quickly iterate customer feedback and improvements. And you will partner with the Business Strategy and Marketing leads to drive the sales process. Your job will be to uncover new opportunities where you will build and cultivate Advisor and RIA relationships; take point on designing the end-to-end sales playbook; and be the leader in building a team of highly motivated Account Executives. You will be responsible for the success of this company.

You:

A Strong Foundation - You have 10+ years of relevant professional sales experience - at least some of which is in financial services. Experience in management consulting, or complex SaaS account/project management is also a plus.

Autodidact - Although you don't need extensive experience in both SaaS and financial services, you should be adept at filling in your knowledge gaps and getting up the learning curve on new subjects quickly.

Technologically Literate - While a lot of this job requires client interaction, you’ll be talking about AI and its applications ... a lot. You should be comfortable jumping into platform demos and navigating the digital world. Detail orientation is also a must.

Superior Written and Oral Communication Skills - Client interaction via phone and email is a big part of the job, but you will be working in an industry that values face-to-face. You should be friendly, empathetic, a good listener, and invigorated by developing and maintaining relationships.

Focused Maturity and Self Confidence - You will be selling into an industry that has historically struggled with new technology, and frequently to individuals who are often decades older. A strong conversational sales style is highly recommended.

Requirements:
- Proficiency with Salesforce, Google Suite, and adept at picking up new technology platforms
- Bachelor's degree - finance, economics, or communications is a plus
- Solid business acumen (ability to speak credibly about our service offering and to work effectively with our referral partners and with prospective clients)
- Minimum of 3 years sales team management experience including hiring, training and incentive compensation
- 8 years of progressively responsible sales & experience in the financial services industry is a must
- Ability to manage remotely
- Strong coaching and mentorship skills
- Proven track record of developing strategic sales plans and continually achieving or exceeding assigned quotas.
- Experience as or selling to a Financial Advisor highly recommended (current securities licenses not required)
- Superior relationship building skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
