YOUR IMPACT

Variant Perception is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Sales Director in either London or New York. As our Sales Director, you will be focused on driving new business for our growing company. You will seek, qualify and close new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers, driving high volume and high velocity sales cycles, collaborating with our analysts, tightly managing your and your team’s pipeline, and meeting/exceeding your business targets.

Our ideal candidate will have strong experience developing leads from marketing campaigns, driving sales processes, and meeting/exceeding sales quotas. Your strong communication skills will help cultivate strong relationships with customers, from first contact through deal closure.

As our Sales Director, you will drive our research to institutional investors, from the largest asset managers to smaller RIAs, and everything in between. You will work closely with our research analysts to sell our existing research solutions, and you will explore new markets and ways of segmenting our existing products.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

> Generate new leads and prospects.
> Use Variant Perception’s internal resources and his/her own sales experience or contacts to target and introduce the firm’s product to potential clients.
> Plan trips and campaigns in directed geographic locations to introduce Variant Perception.
> Present our framework and selling our brand and content in initial meetings and on the phone.
> Negotiate and close sales, with payment through ongoing trading or subscription revenue.
> Coordinate and schedule client meetings and marketing events, including monthly conference calls, conference appearances, etc. for analysts and partners.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

> 3-7 years of comparable B2B sales experience preferred
> Bachelor’s Degree required

SKILLS

> Intelligent, intellectually curious, industrious, hard-working, responsive, competitive and goal driven
> Effective organizational skills and familiarity with cloud-based tools (Salesforce, Zoom, Trello, etc)
> Capable of understanding Variant Perception content and discussing such content coherently
> Eager to work as part of a small team; highly motivated and self-directed
> A persistent, productivity oriented, metrics-driven professional approach
> Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Should be highly articulate
> Superior interpersonal and networking skills.
> Ability to package and price creatively without jeopardizing our brand
> Ability to qualify prospects to a point where you can ask for the business in a quick and efficient manner
> Ability to uncover BANT (Budget, Authority, Needs, and Timing) on every call
