Outside Sales Representative - Western US (Remote)

This outside sales role covers the western US territory, calling on colleges and university Provosts, VP of Student Success, and VP of Online Learning, developing relationships that evolve into partnerships. We partner with institutions to align our integrated student services platform’s use with strategic goals on campus. Though marketing creates leads, this position requires prospecting and travel (when permitted).

About You:

  • You are passionate about leveraging technology to improve student outcomes
  • You want to help change the trajectory of education through technology and professional services
  • You are familiar with the "predictable revenue" sales model and work well in a team-based setting
  • You believe working in a great culture with people you like, admire, and trust is just as important as the work you do
  • You are excited about traveling to various campuses around the country (when possible)

Qualifications:

  • Able to cover the western US region
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in enterprise sales
  • Knowledge of higher education budget cycles, grants, and organizational hierarchy
  • Must be a self-motivated “can do” thinker that can help us create a foundation of learning in our growing sales organization
  • Ability to focus on achieving revenue goals during current environment of constant change
  • Excellent relationship building skills with sustained focus on customer needs throughout the sales process
  • Experience navigating an enterprise sales cycle and the ability to locate the decision makers in higher ed
  • The passion to have in-depth conversations with VPs, Provosts, and Directors about student engagement, retention and their QEP
  • Background check required for finalist

Required Skills:

  • Proven successful prospecting track record
  • Ability to deliver a clear, concise elevator pitch of the services you're selling
  • Willingness to make phone calls, lead demos, and travel on-site often (travel up to 50% of the time)
  • The desire to learn and implement sales strategies quickly
  • CRM and SaaS experience

Salary range for this position is $80 - 90k plus commissions, on target earnings year one for this role is $125-145k.
