We’re looking to add a Retail Real Estate Lead to join our sales team and execute New York’s short-term real estate deals. The Retail Real Estate Lead will develop and own key CRE relationships, source retail properties for brand clients, and negotiate deals with brokers and landlords to close new business.

What you’ll do:
*Own and execute all real estate activities in the New York market.
Develop an understanding of available spaces in key retail corridors and neighborhoods.
*Build relationships with owners, landlords and brokers to maintain a pipeline of vacant retail spaces across New York City.
*Partner with brand-facing sales team on a high volume of inbound brand requirements and manage the entire retail storefront search and lease process.
*Conduct custom space searches to identify and close the best-fit spaces for key accounts and new brand leads.
*Prepare proposals to present opportunities to CRE partners and negotiate to ensure we can secure a brand’s preferred spaces within budget.
*Set and conduct site tours to close new business.
*Procure new business opportunities for short-term retail leases through networking and referral management.
*Actively maintain CRM and create regular reports to summarize your pipeline to broader team.

What we look for:
*2-3 years commercial real estate experience - with an understanding of the New York market, a desire to work at a real estate technology startup, and interest in / knowledge of retail.
*Excellent communication skills - both internally with your team, and externally with the real estate community and brand clients.
*Self-directed - you can work autonomously and with little direction or supervision. You know what needs to get done and you make it happen.
*Sales mentality - with proven success systematically closing deals.
*Sleuthing skills - your research abilities are second to none, and you’re scrappy when it comes to finding and accessing the information you need.
*Agility - you work with a sense of urgency and know how to multitask and prioritize. You’re flexible, can shift gears quickly, and are comfortable navigating ambiguity.
*Passion - you’re excited about the problem we’re solving and are hungry, driven, and motivated to be part of the leading retail real estate platform.
