The Next Generation Platform for Identity and Authentication

Machine Learner

Hate passwords? So do we. We believe that within five years, passwords will no longer be the predominant method of authentication.

We are UnifyID and building a revolutionary identity platform based on implicit authentication. Our solution allows people to identify themselves in a unique way that is extremely difficult to forge or crack. Best of all, we are doing it in a way that respects user privacy.

We are looking for an engineer who is comfortable with crafting Machine Learning algorithms deep, shallow or otherwise.

At the end of the day, you should enjoy these two things: Doing math. Writing code. Clean production quality code.

If you think you have the answers/(mis)informed opinions on one or more of the following questions, we'd like to hear from you!

1: Does flatness of minima of the loss function(s) found by the SGD family methods always result in good generalization?

2: Why does Batch Normalization help?

3: Does compressibility always imply learnability?

4: Do single-epoch-deep-learnable examples in the training set also turn out to be shallow-learnable?

As language/platform agnostic as we are (we use Lua, Python, Julia and R on a daily basis), we expect you to be unreasonably good at and evangelize at least one of the tuples in the Cartesian product of L X P X O where L={Python, Scala, Julia, R, Lua, C++, Java}, P={Scikit-learn, MXNet, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Chainer}, and O={Ubuntu, OS X, RHEL / CentOS / Fedora} and pick things up when required.

If you think this might be a good fit for you, drop us a message with your favorite moment in the sun (publication, github code-base, live-project link) and *answers at least one* of the above questions via the following link: goo.gl/KNPnQd

( Please make sure you apply via our careers page as well)
