What​ ​you’ll​ ​do

Work closely with the CEO, CDO and lead the development team,​ ​you​ ​will​ ​lead ​the technical direction and engineering management for all of our community products​​, working in​ ​partnership​ ​with​ ​product​ ​management, community management ​, and​ ​design​.​ ​You will​ ​recruit, develop, manage and lead​ ​a​ ​high​-performing​ ​engineering​ ​team​ ​responsible​ ​for​ ​the full product life cycle ​across​ ​desktop ​and​ the ​web.


- Ensure​ ​engineering​ ​excellence​ ​and​ ​rigor​ ​in​ ​architecture,​ ​execution​ ​a, nd​ ​delivery. You​ ​will​ ​mentor​ ​leaders​ ​across​ ​the​ ​organization​ ​in​ ​leadership,​ ​management,​ ​and engineering​ ​best​ ​practices.
- Develop​ ​long-term​ ​scalable​ ​architectural​ ​direction,​ ​with​ ​a​ ​focus​ ​on​ ​design, usability​ ​and​ ​user​ ​experience.​ You​ ​will​ ​be​ ​responsible​ ​for maintaining​ ​a​ ​high​ ​bar​ ​of​ ​quality​ ​and​ ​a​ ​great​ ​end-to-end​ ​experience​ ​on​ ​all​ ​platforms.​ ​You​ ​will​ ​drive​ ​the​ ​creation​ ​of​ ​processes and​ ​tools​ ​to​ ​support​ ​multiple​ ​platforms,​ ​continuous​ ​scaling​ ​, and​ ​product​ ​expansion.
- Partner ​with​ ​​designers​, product​ and program ​management​ functions ​to​ ​set​ ​road maps,​ and ​plan the​ ​development​ ​and​ ​delivery of​ ​the best user experience.
- Work​ ​across​ ​the​ ​executive​ ​team​ ​to​ ​deliver​ ​on​ our ​business​ ​goals​ ​and​ ​create tight​ ​cooperation​ ​and​ ​coordination​ ​between​ ​matrixed​ ​teams.
- You will have a vision for the future of the engineering team and build consensus to get there.

- Continuously strive to find the right balance between technical debt, SRE, and user-facing features.

- Technical​, ​​product​ ​and people leadership​ ​with​ ​a​ ​passion​ ​for​ ​development​ ​and delivery​ ​of products​ ​with​ ​a​ ​very​ ​high​ ​bar​ ​for​ ​performance,​ ​quality,​ and user experience.
- A ​proven​ ​track​ ​record​ ​of​ ​leading​ ​the​ ​development​ ​and​ ​delivery​ ​of​ ​large-scale products and applications​.
- Demonstrated​ ​technical​ ​acumen​ ​in​ ​engineering,​ ​architecture​ ​and​ ​product,​ ​and service​ ​development.
- ​7+​ ​years​ ​of​ ​people​ ​leadership​ ​&​ ​management​ ​experience​ ​in software​ ​product​ ​development​ ​and​ ​hosted/SaaS​ ​services.
