  • Robotic process automation software startup UiPath landed $225 million in a Series E round of funding, bringing its valuation to $10.2 billion.
  • Alkeon Capital led the round with help from Accel, Coatue, Dragoneer, IVP, Madrona Venture Group, Sequoia Capital, Tencent, Tiger Global, Wellington and T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc.
  • UiPath makes software that can essentially replicate human actions, allowing people to leave mundane tasks like invoice or claims processing to technology and focus on other parts of their job.
  • While the company doesn’t expect to go through the kind of growth it went through in 2017 and 2018, it will continue to hire, and the leadership team is committed to building a diverse team at all levels of the organization.
