TV Time is a data insights startup that helps power the media and entertainment industry. Our platform helps companies determine how to package, market, and value TV shows & movies in this new world of cross-platform, cross-device, time-shifted, global viewership.

The heart of our unique solution is our consumer product, TV Time, a mobile- and web-based TV Guide for the streaming era. It allows users to discover content, find out where to watch it, get notified when it’s available, track when they’ve seen it, and interact with other fans. Our 12 million global users have tracked over 14 billion episodes of television and hundreds of millions of movies, which amounts to a massive trove of valuable 1st-party data.

We're not your typical startup. We've built a B2C product millions love and a B2B platform leveraged by some of the industry's largest players. We have a management team that's run multiple billion-dollar companies. And we're still only 45 people.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of our data, drive insights through visualizations, and surface interesting trends. This position will have a large role in building and shaping our end product and our success as a company.

As a Data Analyst/Scientist, you will:

- Be the “owner” of our data and drive the analytics and insights that will be presented to our studio clients.

- Dig through our data with SQL (supplemented by R or Python if appropriate) and generate visualizations with Looker and other visualization libraries e.g., Vega.

- Be the liaison between the business, engineering, and product teams to build insights and data products that provide value to our clients

- Piece together the story driving the data and use it to inform the direction of TV Time’s multiple products.

Core Skills We Look For:

- Minimum 3-5 years working as a Data Scientist or Senior Analyst

- Extensive experience in investigating open-ended questions through data as well as pertinacity when confronted with puzzling data trends

- Strong communication skills and ability to deliver results in a clear and thoughtful manner

- Ability to write complex SQL queries and a strong understanding of relational databases and data warehouses

- Experience in transforming raw data to visualizations that effectively communicate the story behind the data

- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics or a related technical field

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

"Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose."
