We’re looking for a curious and passionate Lead Insights Associate to support and optimize our growing portfolio of products and marketing initiatives.

You'll generate prescriptive insights from consumer and marketing data which will then be translated into actionable business strategy. You will also manage consumer & marketing testing across different channels for new and existing products. This role reports to the Head of Data.

The role:
- Lead and drive cross-functional data science projects from beginning-to-end: build relationships with partner teams, frame and structure questions, collect and analyze data, research, prototype models, and summarize and present methodology and key insights to an audience of non-technical stakeholders.

- Use and learn a diverse set of techniques spanning machine learning (including deep learning), causal inference, and other forms of statistical modeling to solve important business and product problems.

- Collaborate with business leaders, domain experts, and decision-makers to develop success criteria and optimize new products, software features, data policies, and models.

- Perform quantitative analyses to evaluate product launches, A/B tests, marketing ROI, and other key strategic decisions

- Use our proprietary data from our user transactions and other sources to better understand our customers, their preferences, and their purchasing decisions.

- Communicate insights to business partners and stakeholders including the Truebill executive leadership team through data visualization and presentations.

- Strong coder, but not necessarily to the level of an engineer.

- 3-5 years of relevant work experience, quantitative research experience a must

- Experience developing and deploying machine learning and statistical models

- Strong quantitative intuition and data visualization skills for ad-hoc and exploratory analysis

- Strong presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate complex analyses to a non-technical audience.

- Experimental design and A/B testing.

- Mentoring experience

- A graduate degree in Data Science or Analytics OR personal projects could make-up for this. Skills > Pedigree.

- Experience with lending and/or financial data, B2C subscription-based companies, or Marketing analytics is a huge plus.

Skills & Technologies
- Data visualization tools: Mode (strong plus), Looker, Tableau.
- Python (numpy, pandas, sklearn, xgboost, TensorFlow, etc.)

- Spark
- Deploy data pipelines and models in production
- AWS Suite: Lambda, EC2, Sagemaker, etc.
