True is a private sharing network for real friends.

Social media users are locked into an impersonal, algorithm-driven experience that feels like one big advertisement. True is changing the game with new ways to connect that get back to the things that matter: Real friends and real life without commercial interruption.

Position:
Visual Designer

True is looking to add another great designer to its super talented design team (We’re a small design team). True is on a mission to change social networking. We all know it’s broken, but True is doing something about it, and we’re looking to add only the best people to our team.

Summary:
We are looking for a creative, and thoughtful designer who loves the craft, and understands the details are what matter most. You’re a visual designer with 2-3 yrs experience, or perhaps you’ve had a few internships fresh out of design school and you’re looking to make your mark with a startup.

Required Skills:
1. You love the social space, you’re on Instagram, Snap, or hopefully something cool all the kids are using these days, basically, you’re a social butterfly. (online)
2. Design aesthetic: You know the difference between good and bad design, and Craigslist drives you insane.

Our perfect candidate:
You like to talk fonts and spacing, but you’re not going to waste all day doing it, plus you can’t stand when people use SF fonts for everything
You love the use of colors but you know when colors should, and shouldn’t be used. (was this a trick question?)
Asking questions is something you have no problem doing
You’re a constant student of the craft, and you’ve got lots of filled sketch pads
Though you’re not going to be heavily leaned on for product ideation, you’re a deep thinker who can contribute when called upon, ideas are always welcomed
You dream about beautiful UI, and interface layouts
You’re a Dribbble nerd, you follow accounts like Norde, Al Power, Cuberto and UI8
You love iOS design and are ready for the challenges that await you (web, Android, decks, marketing material..etc) BONUS if you have experience in other types of design
You have a desire to become a UX Design leader, we’ll show you the ropes, we have some solid product design leaders here
You can and have worked with engineers, and PM’s in the past
You love using Sketch, and tools like Invision, and Zeplin
Working with a remote team is something you can do
You can travel outside of the United States (Europe)
You’re really organized with your time and don’t require hand holding
No egos, or jerks here please, we’re a tight family at True with a growing culture

Freedom and Flexibility are core to our values. We want you to be happy and we'll work together to keep you that way.

This is the design level that we are looking for. If you can do this or better, please apply.
