ABOUT THE ROLE:

You'll be leading a team of 5 outbound-focused BDRs that will grow to 10+ in the next 12 months, and responsible for their onboarding, continuous development, and helping craft messaging and go-to-market strategy.

The BDR Manager role at Troops is highly autonomous and best suited to someone who is not only a successful coach and day-to-day manager, but also someone who wants to and has the acumen to build go-to-market strategy, messaging, quota structure, and truly build and lead an entire arm of the organization.

You'll work collaboratively with our Sales Operations, Sales, and Marketing leadership to attack and expand into new accounts as the tip of the Troops spear. Our CRO, Roque Versace, was one of the first 200 employees at Salesforce and a long-time VP there, and went on to build the revenue team at Mashery, which was acquired by IBM for $250MM, and our Head of Growth and co-founder, Scott Britton, was selected to Forbes 30 Under 30 for Enterprise Technology.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of combined sales experience as a BDR, AE, manager, etc
• High degree of operational proficiency with Salesforce
• Bachelor's Degree from a strong public or private university
• Previous, non-transactional SaaS experience (complex sales cycle preferred)

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Has previously been a BDR Manager or at least an AE/BDR Team Lead
• Operationally proficient with SFDC; comfortable with building reports and dashboards and quickly navigating through data to draw insights
• Is good at being a motivator and positive culture force for the team
• Enjoys and is passionate about the art and science of sales; conversant in 2-3 sales methodologies and has read a few sales books.
• Excellent at running complex sales campaigns: We are selling a product that tells companies how to improve how they sell, so we have to be world class sellers as well
• Excited by uncertainty; we're entering a high growth phase with a geographically distributed team and are constantly iterating on our strategy

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage 5 BDRs on a day-to-day basis
• Build a pipeline and hire for new BDRs as we grow and existing BDRs get promoted
• Participate in leadership meetings with sales, marketing, CS, and with the founders to set sales strategy and alignment
• Devise new messaging and strategies for breaking into new accounts
• Report on and leverage metrics such as conversion rates, unconverted pipeline, missed contacts and leads, activity levels, pipeline generation, and more
• Create and revise quota structure and overall go-to-market strategy and segementation
