We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Specialist that has entry-level Software Developer skills to become an integral part of our team! The ideal team member will be responsible for providing necessary support for hardware issues related to desktops and other computer peripherals. They will track software systems functionality while keeping up-to-date with the latest components related to Information Technology as well as dabbling in coding.
The candidate must be able to provide at least 40 hours minimum of work per week in a team setting. Limited Remote Work is available, but must be available during normal work hours and be able to work onsite in San Fernando, CA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers, etc.).
- Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards, etc.) to ensure the functionality.
- Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
- Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance.
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
- Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.).
- Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.
- Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders.
Preferred Technical Skills
- Javascript experience
- Google Suite
- Phone Integration Systems
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of programming experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead others.
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties.
- In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks.
- Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
- Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage.
- Apple and Microsoft software integration understanding.
- Exposure to technical writing.
- Willing to learn PingPong and Basketball while working with the company.
