About us

Trexo Robotics (YC W19) is enabling mobility by building powered wearable robots (youtu.be/3LW4LJIpa2o). Our first product is a powered wearable robot for children with movement disorders such as Cerebral Palsy and is currently being used by families and the best hospitals across North America. Our work doesn’t stop here, we are constantly working towards building mobility solutions for all. The robot builder will work on building Trexo’s from the start to finish while ensuring they all meet high quality control standards and testing.

What you’ll do

• Assist in implementing, managing and applying all quality assurance procedures to our manufacturing process according to ISO 13485
• Follow/Implement standard operating procedures and test procedures
• Maintain Quality management system according to ISO 13485
• Assist Engineering in compliance requirements by understanding various medical device standards
• Maintain inventory and inbound/outbound shipping
• Create assembly and testing plans for sub assemblies and full assemblies
• Carry out robotics assembly using work instructions
• Perform validation and functional testing on sub assemblies and full assemblies
• Design and modify test rigs
• Assist in creating/maintaining work instructions
• Up to 10% travel

About you

• Experience with quality assurance/control and testing
• Experience with manufacturing/assembly
• Experience working with Microsoft office and excel
• You love taking things apart to see how they work
• You are detail oriented and methodical
• You thrive in unknown situations. You can apply logical reasoning, find solutions and lead in such situations.
• Have a BASc/BEng in engineering or a college diploma in an electromechanical related field


Nice to have

• Knowledge of ISO standards (60601, 13485, 14971)
• Knowledge of Solidworks
• Experience with soldering and electronic component assembly
• Experience with 3D printing
• Knowledge of a scripting language (eg python, javascript)
