TravelMeetEat.com (TME) facilitates the online connection of passionate, traveling foodies who, through our unique matching feature, get connected, meet and share fun culinary experiences offline. Most travelers who say they want to eat where locals eat turn to mainstream sources for restaurant recommendations, or at best, pay a fee to eat a meal in a stranger’s home based on photos and reviews. TME enables travelers to establish a connection and develop rapport first, thus providing a more authentic and personalized local foodie experience.

At present, we are still beta testing our web and mobile applications. We’re a small, bootstrapped team, on an innovative and creative journey! We’re keen to meet some exciting geniuses so if you are the one, please contact us. This is a remote-based opportunity.

What we’re looking for
We are currently looking for a Product Marketer to help drive buzz, excitement and ultimately adoption and engagement to meet our target goals. This individual is an expert in creating and deploying marketing strategies designed to drive measurable growth using a mix of channels, mediums and content, in order to demonstrate the value of TME to stakeholders.

You’re a doer that knows how to use marketing technologies to drive performance. You are experimental, constantly testing new channels and technologies to understand how to better connect with customers. You like to create something from nothing.

This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote TME’s products and new feature sets as they become available. This position will be responsible for executing and continuously optimizing the marketing tactics that will drive adoption and engagement as validated through analytics and insights. The individual in this role is highly creative, thinks outside the box and possesses a test and learn mindset.


Here are some of the things you can expect to do to succeed in this role:

• Create clear positioning, value prop and messaging (through customer insights and data) and using it to build out the broader TravelMeetEat story
• Define customer needs, market trends, and competitive developments
• Market segmentation and persona development (built on audience research)
• Develop GTM plans with product team
• Create various content
• Align with product, engineering, and growth teams
• Create campaigns for our user base from signup to paid with a product-led growth eye that are tailored to user segments and use cases (based on customer insights)
• Analyze (data, quantitative, qualitative) to make decisions--SQL skills a bonus!
• Bolster acquisition (A/B test for landing page, SEO, etc.)

Execute Feature Launches
We’re constantly building the features that our customers want, and we need help promoting them. You’ll be creating on-site content to announce new features. You’ll handle influencer outreach to get people talking about our new features with their audiences, and when it’s appropriate you’ll orchestrate launches on platforms like Product Hunt, etc.

Site Content
There’s a never-ending list of content that you’ll be creating for our site. Customer examples, user journeying, vertical pages, and comparison pages to name a few. Blog posts, news items, documentation, and landing pages to name a few more. Some of these things already exist, some of them don’t, some of them are half-baked or stale and need some love.

Community Outreach
There are travel-foodies, general foodies, experience-seeking individuals and all over the internet who would love to know that TravelMeetEat exists. One of your perpetual tasks will be to stay tuned into Twitter hashtags, Facebook and LinkedIn groups, Quora topics, and other community sites to make sure that people who need our product know about it. SEO and SEM just aren’t enough nowadays, you’ve got to get out there and insert yourself into the conversations that are happening and share the solutions that people need.
