Backend/API Engineer

The Opportunity:
Tradeswell is looking for a motivated and driven backend/API engineer to work directly on the product development team. In this position you will work closely with a cross-function team to deliver thoughtful innovations that advance Tradeswell’s mission to empower growth. In this role, you will be responsible for building APIs and microservices that solve specific customer problems. You will build a robust and resilient software platform that enables ecommerce brands with the automation, insights, and optimizations to fuel success.

What you will do:

• Design, build, and maintain APIs, microservices, and other sytems across the Tradeswell platform
• Work with product and other engineering team memebers to solve customer problems and deliver value
• Implement solutions for customer problems using Kotlin, Java, and Python

About you:

• Strong background in Java and/or Kotlin
• Experience building resilient APIs and microservices built to handle high availability situations
• Proficient with AWS
• Interest in learning new technologies and passion for building stable, resilient infrastructure
• Collaborative and enjoy working with others to develop and implement the best possible solutions for customers
