Security and compliance made easier
ThreatSwitch is seeking a Backend Developer who aspires to become a Full Stack Software Engineer. A strong applicant will have a flexible, learning-oriented attitude, 3-5 years experience working as a Software Developer, competency in at least two programming languages (including Ruby), and a minimum of 2 year’s experience working at production scale with the Ruby on Rails API framework, and experience working with 3rd party API Integrations.
We’re building a world-class security compliance management product for some of the world’s largest companies, combining the very best thinking from national security, user experience, and web technology. We’re committed to building secure, best-in-class, bug free software, and we are doing it fast.
As a member of the ThreatSwitch Engineering team you will learn how to excel in building secure, loosely coupled, well-tested, modular software delivered on a daily basis. Weekly code reviews and mentoring will ensure you come up to speed quickly and are setup for success. Because we are a young and adaptable company that values “being where needed”, you will begin on our Ruby on Rails backend and will learn the fundamentals and core patterns of our React (Redux) SPA. We are a team of “Full Stack” and “Pre-Full Stack” engineers. Specialists need not apply.
We run a state of the art system boasting “zero touch” CI/CD processes deploying directly to AWS Gov-cloud, manage our backends in Docker via Elastic Container Service, run PostgreSQL on AWS RDS, and host static web content with AWS S3 and Cloudfront. We use Docker and docker-compose to spin up local copies of our stack for development.
