Controls & Compliance Analyst

Thought Machine, one of the UK's leading FinTech companies, is undergoing a period of rapid expansion and is looking to hire a Cyber Security Controls & Compliance Analyst to join our expanding Risk & Compliance Team.

The Controls & Compliance Analyst, will be working closely with our Risk and Compliance Lead to help achieve a number of milestones on our Security Roadmap for 2019.


DUTIES

* Control gap analysis and design.
* Assisting with strategy and framework documentation.
* Preparing stakeholder presentations for Function Risk/Security Leads, C Suite and Board.
* Liaising/coordinating directly with Team Leads, IT and Security to assist with control design.
* Maintaining Internal Control register and action log
* Maintaining Regulatory, and Legislative compliance register
* Assisting with Risk and Control Assessments
* Governance meeting support (Security Working Group, Risk Committee)
* Keeping up to date on whitepapers, publications, standards and frameworks to ensure Thought Machine remains aligned to industry best practices and continue to be forward thinking with the aim of being best in class in our approach to Internal Cyber Security.

Requirements

Essential

* Risk or Control Analyst Experience
* Familiar with Cyber/Information Security processes and approaches
* Familiarity with Cyber/Information Security Control Frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001/2)

and privacy regulations, such as the EU GDPR and Data Protection Act.

* Strong English communication and documentation writing skills.
