We are looking for an experienced marketing leader with an impressive set of achievements at either a leading theatre organisation, customer-centric technology company, or a fast-paced startup. This role will drive user acquisition, brand awareness, and arts advocacy efforts for our next-generation theatre discovery platform. This is ideally a full-time hire, or could be part-time/contract for the right candidate who has the right capabilities and a passion for what we are doing for the industry.

This role will oversee user acquisition, retention, and media/communications working closely with the Founder/CEO, and taking ownership of all channels, testing, messaging, as well as developing of a menu of ad products for our theatre suppliers. You will manage agency relationships and help build the marketing and communications team as we scale.

Who you will be:
- Passionate about theatre and the opportunity to use technology to increase access and decrease friction for all segments, including the less tech-savvy and new/infrequent theatregoers.
- Highly analytical, wired to make decisions based on data, balanced with strong instincts about what's right for our users and brand.
- Experienced in all aspects of digital marketing and comfortable owning an entire marketing program (organic & paid social, SEO/SEM, PR, partnerships, content marketing, video/photography, events, etc.)
- Knowledgeable about UK customer segments (and regional/demographic language nuances) and able to craft messaging that captures attention, compels trial and builds trust.
- Understand the perspective of theatre marketers (in-house and agencies) and their challenges in building new audiences and selling out their shows, so we can develop solutions that aid their efforts.
- A natural do-er, with bias for action/speed and a test-and-learn mentality.
- Frugal and scrappy, willing to pitch in and help execute from the outset, growing the team as we scale.
- Enjoys light-weight processes, inexpensive/simple tools, semi-solutions, and bringing order to chaos.
- Willing to see beyond a role remit and collaboratively contribute to all areas of the business.
