My name is Adam, and I'm the founder of a company called Thesis (thesistesting.com). We are a growth agency that works to optimize customer acquisition for fast-growing, ecommerce brands via creative testing, media buying, and landing page testing. Our site emphasizes our landing page services, as we only engage clients for creative optimization and media buying via referral.

Our agency is about 2 years ago, and we are a team of 31. For a growth agency, we are somewhat unique, as half of our team are engineers, as we are developing our own software for landing page optimization. We are profitable, bootstrapped, and based in Brooklyn (Dumbo). We are honored to work with a number of leading brands, including Hubble Contacts, Colgate, Casper, Framebridge, Clorox, Roman, and more.

My career in growth marketing started in roughly 2008 when I joined a startup as an intern while in college in DC. That startup was 4 people when I joined and was 4,000+ by the time I left (it became livingsocial.com, a daily deals site). At LivingSocial, I was in charge of growth marketing/user acquisition. After I left LivingSocial I started two companies: grow.co (a conference series focused on Growth Marketing) and coursereport.com, a ratings/reviews site for coding bootcamps. Both businesses have been moderately successful and continue to operate. We've experienced great growth thus far we are well-positioned to continue to grow. Frankly, we need help ASAP! To support our growth, we need to build and grow a team of qualified performance marketers who can think across creative // ad ops // landing pages. As part of this role, you will maintain day-to-day client communications with global brands, create & traffic ads using the Facebook & Instagram ad-buying platform, and collaborate with analysts & our in-house creative & landing page teams to formulate strategic action plans for each client.

The ideal Digital Marketing Manager candidate is both creatively-minded and performance-driven, a strong collaborator, and an all-around figure-it-out-er. Applicants should have an understanding of paid digital advertising or e-commerce marketing, a creative awareness of the social media advertising field, and an aptitude for analyzing data and identifying performance trends. Experience in developing marketing creative (e.g. authoring or overseeing marketing copy or visuals) and working directly with the Facebook Ads Manager platform are required!

As a part of our team, the Digital Marketing Manager will have the opportunity to bring their existing skills to learn firsthand how Thesis leverages performance analytics for long-term client growth, develop innovative content for social media markets, and grow their skillset in a fast-paced and exciting startup environment.

Job Responsibilities
- Develop high-level strategy with senior analysts and clients
- Manage client social media ad budgets
- Create and traffic ads daily using Facebook and Instagram ad-buying interface
- Perform bi-weekly check-in calls with clients and senior analysts
- Pull daily reports on ad performance and make adjustments to ensure ROI is hitting goals
- Work closely with our creative and landing page teams to brainstorm and script social media ads, drawing on client needs and input where possible
- Translate technical concepts into actionable, tactical and strategic action plans
- Familiarize yourself with client products & come up with promotional strategies on social media
- Formulate client ads using your own ad copy & image/video assets

Candidate Requirements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent media buying/advertising analyst experience
- 2+ years experience in paid digital advertising (separate roles available for different experience levels)
- Experience with Facebook ads
- Strong analytical track record
- Experience analyzing and driving marketing insights from data
- Understanding of the online advertising industry and social media is a plus
- Self-starter who thrives in a startup environment
- Proactive, organized, and able to work well individually
- Strong structured thinking, and business savvy to leverage online data in order to understand online audiences, and help our clients develop high-impact, efficient online advertisements
