Founding Fullstack Software Engineer

Imagine you have season tickets to your favorite NFL team. There are 9-10 home games you commit to every season, however at best you can go to 4 of them. You choose to sell those remaining 6 games. Actively managing/pricing/distributing these via the current ticketing sites can be tedious and oftentimes inefficient.

The Ticket Magician aims to be a better way for season ticket holders to sell their tickets. Essentially we want to help people make their tickets disappear.

By utilizing multiple distribution channels, automatic pricing strategies and other professional advantages, we believe this can be accomplished and scaled into a successful company.

So what needs to be done?

We’re hiring this role to be the bedrock foundation of this platform and get it launched.

***You will be the founding member of our Engineering team. Looking for someone who is entrepreneurial and willing to wear many hats!

Must be in Atlanta and willing to spend atleast 3 days a week in the office to collaborate and learn the ticket business. This will be integral to building a successful product*

We have been in the secondary ticketing space for more than 10 years. Throughout that time, we’ve accumulated tons of market knowledge that allows us to excel in this space.

However, we’re self-aware enough to say “we don’t know what we don’t know” and building software isn’t something we know.

Ideally looking to find someone intrigued by the sports/entertainment space and someone wanting to take a shot in an emerging startup concept

What you will do

• Lead and contribute to the design and development of The Ticket Magician consumer front and back end platform
• Advocate for best patterns and practices in the area system design, performance, and testing
• Foster clarity and alignment on technical vision and direction
• Advocate for engineering systems and solutions that will allow for scaling product development in the long-run
• Write clear and concise technical documentation on system design and implementation
• Build a strong product-minded, engineering culture by mentoring and guiding engineers

Skills and experience you possess:

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Solid understanding of UI/UX for web and mobile applications
• Good knowledge and understanding of modern web technologies, and the ability to design maintainable and performant APIs
• Familiarity with designing, building, deploying, monitoring and maintaining code in multi-service architecture
• Penchant for elegant and simple solutions for complex requirements
• Familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud architecture
