Senior Product Manager, Customer

As a Senior Product Manager for our Buyer team, you will be a key leader in the organization, playing a critical role in developing the roadmap and executing on key initiatives to help customers feel confident and delighted as they discover and buy amazing luxury products. You are passionate about e-commerce, team-oriented and enjoy working in a data-driven environment. You are a self-starter, comfortable learning and working with new technologies and have excellent problem-solving skills. This individual will be a member of the product team responsible for the buyer experience from home page through cart and checkout, including post-transaction.
This position is based in San Francisco and reports to the Director of Product Management for Buyer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Buyer in support of corporate goals and objectives
- Define, track and improve key product and customer metrics
- Use market research, customer feedback and usage plus competitive analysis to identify new product opportunities and enhancements
- Originate, collect, and synthesize product ideas from across TRR
- Identify business objectives, create a business case, and develop and implement a business strategy for initiatives using data-centered decision making
- Collaborate with the business, user experience and development teams during discovery to assess value, usability and feasibility of product features
- Lead AB testing strategies of executing experiments to ensure we have picked the right strategic direction
- Specify, prioritize and communicate high level and detailed product specifications using user stories, business rules, use cases and user flows
- Present and clearly articulate product strategy to the engineering team and to company leadership
- Collaborate closely with the development team during the development cycle, attending daily standups and leading backlog grooming and sprint planning sessions
- Align stakeholders, working closely with with Business Intelligence, User - --- Experience, Engineering, QA, Marketing and Merchandising teams to launch products that meet both business and customer needs
- Coordinate post-launch activities to validate that the product works as designed and that metrics
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, including eCommerce
- Self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced environment, working independently on several major initiatives at a time
- Proven track-record: past projects were consistently successful (i.e. met the consumer’s need, met business objectives, delivered on-time with no/few surprises)
- Creative problem solver. Able to identify real obstacles and viable solutions
- Outcome oriented: not reactionary; clearly and continuously communicate the desired outcome and work collaboratively to create a path to achieve it
- Consensus builder. Able to curate and build on the ideas of others in pursuit of the best solution
- Must be an excellent communicator with strong organizational skills
- Must have strong product vision & instincts and demonstrate thought leadership.
- Big thinking: should be able to help a small team achieve goals out of their comfort zone.
- Strong understanding of product-building areas including engineering, design, analytics, and user research/insights
- Must have a great understanding and empathy for The Real Real customers and be their advocate
- Rigorous: ask hard questions, validate their assumptions, and make sure asks align to the actual needs of the business
- Have a great eye for a good technical solve and must be able to collaborate with engineers
