The Outdoor Journal is an international outdoor sports and adventure travel magazine, with true stories from adventurers and travelers all over the world. It is a website, with news from unreported regions and stories not told. It is videos, of adventures, and expeditions to places that still have room for first descents and ascents. It is events, bringing together communities of enthusiasts and believers. It is soon a reviews platform, enabling travelers to make better decisions about their next adventure.

Our mission is to provide readers, without compromise, the highest quality multimedia content from the world of outdoor sports, fitness, alternative pursuits, travel, nature and wilderness.

A company and team that is growing and currently seeking a Digital Marketing Analyst to create, implement, track analyze and optimize online marketing strategies that align with The Outdoor Journal’s overall business objectives.

Main responsibilities

- Work with both marketing and technical teams to identify objectives and advise on suitable measurement strategies
- Develop web measurement strategies and reporting of key business metrics
- Create and maintain metrics and reports on online channels and marketing campaigns
- Monitor campaign and website performance via analytic tools and provide feedback and actionable insights for campaign strategies
- Monitor digital trends, emerging technologies and risks
- Analyze the effect of different online and offline channels on each other and developing and implementing innovative strategies for improvement and growth
- Analyze online user behaviour, conversion data and customer journeys, funnel analysis and
- Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of different marketing campaigns
- Spot potential to implement innovative new methodologies and improve analytical procedure
- Regularly provide feedback and insights gained in support of business objectives

Key skills and experience

- Experience in working within a marketing/business intelligence environment
Experience working with analytical software, website optimisation and paid search platforms
- Experience in data analysis techniques
- Strong proficiency with Excel for producing reports and presentations
- Strong quantitative skills required to analyze and optimize campaign performance
- Experience in measuring and analysing online marketing campaigns including: natural and paid search, email, affiliate, display and social
