Steven A. RidderThe Role
What you’ll do:
You’ll help our customers interact with soil data at a scale never seen before in the agriculture industry. You’ll design the best way to layout and architect multi-dimensional data (area, depth, time) using various visualization tools such as chart and map engines. You’ll design workflows for onboarding new customers and features that will help existing customers farm more efficiently. You’ll nurture a brand UX/UI style guide as the business expands its digital footprint. You’ll work in an interdisciplinary team of soil scientists, chemists, software and hardware engineers, and the CEO to produce the best software product for our customers.
About Teralytic:
Teralytic is a precision agriculture company dedicated to helping farmers monitor and manage soil health. We believe soil health is critical to crop yield, and that our platform can help farmers reduce crop input, build regenerative practices, and maximize profit. We’ve built a team of talented scientists, engineers and innovators who are passionate about changing the state of agriculture, and are excited to grow our team with self-driven pros.
Who you are:
Design problems that don’t have obvious answers or existing solutions excite you. You’re adaptable and curious about cutting-edge technology in various fields from software, to hardware, to chemistry, to physics. You’ve owned the design of a product from start to finish, and have worked on iteratively improving the design using user feedback and research. You have a keen sense for optimization strategies for both usability and growth.
Basic Qualifications:
• You’ve designed a product from start to finish
• You’ve iterated and improved an existing product using user research and feedback
• You’ve worked on data-heavy applications
• You’ve collaborated directly with engineers
• You’ve collaborated directly with business stakeholders and executives
Bonus Points:
• You’ve used Mapbox or other GIS visualization software
• You’ve worked on projects where end-users vary in technical ability
• You’ve worked on projects with interdisciplinary teams
