Teralytic is looking for Agtech sensor and LoRa field engineers who can travel around the world and help support customer farming pilots and rollouts of our IOT Soil Sensors and LoRa Network gateways. Our clients range from some of the largest farms in the world to local family farms across all regions, countries and crop types. You will travel to exotic locations and ensure our customer's success. You will also train Teralytic partners and resellers on how to properly install, troubleshoot and manage our equipment. This is a travel-heavy role where you'll be on the road supporting our clients.
As the front-line for Teralytic, you will also be the eyes and ears of Teralytic when dealing with clients and partners to understand what’s working and not, capture feature requests and share field insights with Teralytic Management and Engineering teams.
-Provide Pre-service, Site Survey, Field Installation and Post-Deployment technical support around the globe. This will be a travel-heavy role as you help our clients around the world with the setup and installation of our IOT soil sensors and LoRa network.
-Oversee/perform new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
-Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of customer managed hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
-Assessing and escalating technical issues in support of remote sensors, LoRa gateway deployments.
-Proactively analyzing and recommending ways to optimize the HW, gateway and installation process and suggest new ideas and features to the Teralytic Product and Engineering Teams
Required Skills and Experience
-Minimum of one (1) years practical Layer 2 and Layer 3 internetworking, WiFi, or LoRa networking. Ability to set up and troubleshoot network equipment.
-Ability to design, deploy and troubleshoot LoRa and wireless networks; which includes IP networking, network security, authentication, certificates, remote access, network access controls, and network management.
-Experience in site surveys and design of LoRa networks (TCP/IP, MAC, RF, and some application level)
-Experience working in customer technical support roles; assessing and triage of troubles, managing trouble tickets, and trouble resolution.
-Experience and understanding of LAN/WAN architectures and designs; LoRa networking, and cloud networking.
-Methodical approach to trouble resolution.
-Experience in addressing multi-variable trouble environments.
-Good oral and written communications skills.
-Ability to be on-site at customer premises regularly around the world.
-Comfortable with non-standard work schedule.
-Project management experience/skills/background, a plus.
-IOT sensor network experience a plus.
-RF and Protocol analysis - TCP/IP and LoRa a plus.
-LINUX, XML, HTML experience a plus
