The Role

We are looking for Subject Matter Experts in fields such as nutrition, behavioral therapy, trauma recovery, and addiction medicine to join our team. You will lend your expertise to create and review written and video content, with the option to participate in live in-person and online Q&As and workshops. We are excited to meet people of all backgrounds to help us put people at the center of their recovery. You will provide services to Tempest on a contract basis. This position is remote-friendly!

Requirements

As a Tempest Subject Matter Expert, you will:

  • Report to Tempest's Director of Instructional Design
  • Work with Tempest's Content team to write scripts for live workshops and pre-recorded lessons
  • Contribute to articles published on our public-facing Resource Center. This might involve being listed as part of our Content Review Panel to ensure our content is accurate, up-to-date, and reliable.
  • Work with Tempest's content producers to set up well-framed, well-lit spaces for filming new content (whether on Zoom or as a pre-recorded lesson video)
  • Write and review lesson workbook copy for our members
  • Lead live Zoom Q&As with Tempest members to answer common questions about intersections between your field, recovery, and Alcohol Use Disorder

About You:

  • Have 3+ years Professional expertise in your given field
  • Able to translate expertise into practical, applicable recommendations for students
  • Curious and enthusiastic for your field
  • Flexible. An aversion to dogma

Contractors bill for work hourly. Hourly rates for SMEs range from $35 - $350 an hour commensurate with experience, expertise, licensure, and scope of work.
