Software Engineer

TechWolf is a machine learning startup based in Ghent (BE) & Cambridge (UK). Our mission is to provide easily accessible intelligence to online HR platforms with API-based natural language understanding solutions, making them look and feel intelligent with minimal effort.

As a software engineer within TechWolf, you help build the bridge between state-of-the-art natural language processing tools and our customer. You'll work together with both the Product team and our customer's IT department to integrate our tools in their workflow. You would get time to learn and acquire the necessary skills to build top-notch API's and backends while helping customers get the most out of our product every day.

As the ideal candidate you should have excellent communication and reasoning skills - on a customer level and with the product team, and be excited about helping the company scale. Furthermore, you should be excited to learn how to build production-ready applications, take pride in software craftsmanship and value clean code. The core of our system is built on Python. Therefore, knowledge of git and Python are essential.

==Education==
• You have a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or comparable field.

==Technical skills==
• You are familiar with Python and back-end frameworks such as Django or Flask.
• You have some experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
• You have a good understanding of software architecture and algorithms & data structures.
• You take pride in software craftsmanship and value clean code.

==Non-technical skills==
• Being able to handle responsibility and being able to work independently
• A motivated mind eager to grow and learn
• Willing to challenge us in technology and process
• Excellent communication and reasoning skills, both on a customer level and with the product team
