Time to hang up your campaign spurs? Tired of slinging SaaS?

TFC’s Campaign Relations Associate will have an effect on a huge number of Democratic campaigns in the 2020 cycle. Reporting to TFC’s Director of Campaign Relations, this person will be the initial point of contact and resource to hundreds of state legislative, statewide, and congressional campaigns -- working with them to design, plan, and “close” projects vital to their campaigns. This is a high visibility role, with opportunities to drive forward digital campaigning in the Democratic Party.

Since early 2017, TFC has worked with 200 campaigns and delivered more than digital and tech 350 projects. Our Net Promoter Score of 91 (better than the iPhone!) from campaigns means that our process works. There are few “sales” jobs with this huge impact, high scale, and offering an opportunity to contribute directly to ballot-box outcomes.

What You’ll Do
- In partnership with state legislative caucuses and state parties, work with campaigns to orient them in the digital landscape, explain TFC’s services, and evaluate and push for how TFC’s core project areas of websites, email, digital advertising, and texting can assist campaigns.
- Lead a full “sales” cycle, from initial interest to close, coordinating closely with TFC’s operations team to design projects, brief volunteers, and facilitate project execution.
- Be a subject matter expert on digital campaigning in 2020:
-- For candidates and campaign managers: advise on optimal digital/tech strategies and execution paths, including in areas not directly related to TFC’s core project work, such as the optimal use of ActBlue and NGPVAN, navigating technology and software vendors, etc.
-- For TFC’s staff and volunteers: advise on campaign trends, needs, and idiosyncrasies, helping to make sure TFC is as helpful to as many campaigns as possible in as many ways as practical.
- Monitor TFC’s inbound campaign submissions to qualify against TFC’s internal campaign criteria and activate relationships.

Who You Are
- 3-4 years of client/donor closing experience, either in a sales/account manager role or as a Campaign Manager/Finance Director.
-- Bonus points: professional experience in a state legislative campaign or above.
-- Alternate bonus points: experience with digital marketing, especially in a client coverage role at an advertising agency, marketing consultancy, or ad tech vendor.
- Passion for TFC’s mission - belief in technology and digital playing a major role in elections.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills; highly organized with strong time management skills.
- Obsessive about metrics and reporting.

This is a full-time role through November 2020; we are a hybrid remote organization, with the team both in San Francisco and remote throughout the country.
