We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join our team in London. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic tester to join a fast growing start-up and help to shape their QA practices. You should have a track record of end-to-end testing and quality assurance.

So, What Are We Looking For?
- Proven work experience in software development and quality assurance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Excellent problem solving abilities and analytical skills
- Passionate about web applications and an eye for design and usability
- Experience testing & ensuring the quality of a web & mobile application

Key Responsibilities
- Testing all aspects of a web service, from front-end design to usability and interaction design
- Testing functionality and usability of all front-end systems including the main site, admin interfaces and any other user-facing systems
- Identify, create and execute functional tests and test scenarios for validating performance against requirements
- Develop test data, execute test scripts and analyse results on testing of all aspects of web applications
- Review product specifications to provide feedback based on usability, feasibility and complexity
- Help define and establish new methodologies, processes and best practices.
- Help research existing bugs and defects.

Essential skills and experience
- 3+ years testing experience, including both web and mobile applications.
- Experienced in the manual testing of complex distributed systems across multiple platforms and browsers.
- Solid experience using automated testing tools.
- Experience working with remote teams.
- Experienced in the testing of native mobile apps.
- A solid grasp of agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with continuous integration, continuous delivery.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational database systems such as MySQL and Postgres.
- Familiarity with Linux shell.
- Knowledge of some of the following; RSpec, Cucumber, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Gherkin.
- Familiarity with testing APIs.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong team player.

Desired but not essential
- A technical BEng/BSc degree in a computing or similar/related engineering discipline is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience of using version control and configuration management tools such as Git.
- Experience of test automation using JavaScript.
- Prior experience of working within an Agile environment and associated tools (Atlassian Jira, Confluence, github, etc.).
- Fluent with /giphy resources.
