Streaming Engineer

Tacnik is looking for a Streaming Engineer to join our Virtual Events Team. This technology powers streaming experiences for virtual events on Desktops, Mobile Browser & Mobile App by building on core video technologies such as Streaming Servers, CDN Distribution, Media Encryption, DRM, MBR technology.

Key Qualifications

1. Should have knowledge of streaming media protocols: HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), DASH, RTMP, RTSP, etc

2. Should have an excellent working knowledge of vMix and OBS.

3. Should have working knowledge of media codecs, formats, transports and container protocols, such as MPEG-2, H.264/AVC, AAC, AC3, MP4, TS, Webrtc etc

4. Should be experienced in developing audio/video streaming servers or clients/players

5. Should have knowledge of common network architectures (routers/switches/proxies, etc) and protocols (HTTP, etc)

6. Should have familiarity with CDN architectures (caches, origin servers, proxies, etc)

7. Should have working knowledge of media Streaming servers like Red5, Wowza, or equivalaent

8. Should have working Knowledge of Cloud Technologies like S3, NetStorage, Cloudfront etc

9. Should have working knowledge of Video Transcoding using tools like ffmpeg,Elemental etc

10. Should have excellent troubleshooting skills using network analysis tools such as WireShark, etc

11. Should have strong communication and collaboration skills

12. Should have have an ability to stay focused and prioritize a heavy workload while achieving extraordinary quality

13. Should have excellent judgment and integrity with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

Description

As a streaming engineer, you will be responsible for developing features, contributing to media systems design, maintaining Media Systems, analyzing performance, and tuning parameters for streaming media playback.
