ABOUT SWAYABLE

Swayable is a data science platform that doubles the impact of advertising by empirically measuring how it changes people's opinions. Our customers include high-profile political campaigns, advocacy organizations, and brands. We launched in 2018 out of Y Combinator, gained immediate traction, and had a significant impact on the 2018 mid-term US elections. We're now preparing for even faster growth through the 2020 election cycle and beyond. This position is the perfect opportunity to join a fast-moving, high-impact, mission-oriented startup as we grow beyond the seed stage.

We offer a benefits package that is well above-market for startups at our early stage. Swayable covers 100% of the health, dental, and vision insurance premiums for full-time employees. We offer generous PTO and parental leave.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Swayable is looking for a Data Scientist to work with our small but growing team to advance our experimental methodology and core products.

A Data Scientist at Swayable conducts experiments to continuously improve our methodologies and builds cutting-edge data science products using Python. They will also communicate directly with customers to answer methodological questions and share prototypes of analyses that yield new insights. In a typical week, they will collaborate with the engineering team to develop new data science features and deploy them to our cloud-based platform. They review code and contribute to internal tools that optimize our processes. They work with all members of the organization to solve problems and innovate.

As a small but growing organization, every employee has a significant degree of independence and responsibility. The Data Scientist will work within our Scrum-lite work cycles but must be flexible and self-directed enough to get work done on their own.

This position reports to the CTO, Valerie Coffman, and will join our teams in San Francisco or New York City.
