Surgical Innovation Associates is a medtech start-up that just closed the first round of Series-A funding. We are seeking a motivated, medical device sales professional to promote and sell a novel medical device for plastic surgeons.

The Plastic Surgery Device Sales Representative for Surgical Innovation Associates (SIA) will focus on direct selling of company products, with an immediate emphasis on the company’s core technology, an FDA 510k approved implantable medical device used to support and repair soft tissues within the context of plastic and reconstructive surgery. The Sales Representative will utilize key resources, company assets and customer-oriented selling to achieve territory revenue milestones.

Roles and Responsibilities
· Meet or exceed sales targets
· Cultivate relationships with new and targeted customers: Supporting their conversion to our products
· Navigate customer purchasing process, purchasing committees and other key stakeholders with a role in each customer’s buying process
· Support customer lead generation activities, including cold calling, customer follow-up and market research
· Promote, attend and help execute training workshops for current and prospective customers
· Complete all daily and going administrative activities including business planning, expense planning and reporting, CRM management and entry customer record entry, and competitive intelligence
· Support the management of clinician relationships within acute hospitals, alternative site hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, outpatient surgery centers and private practice offices
· Increase customer knowledge of our products, points of differentiation and economic value proposition through the distribution of educational and informational assets for the company
· Develop and articulate a strong, working knowledge of SIA products, with emphasis on product benefits and features, points of differentiation, competitor positioning
· Develop and articulate an understanding of surgical procedures that are relevant to SIA products
· Maintain compliance with all applicable quality and regulatory guidelines for SIA
· Maintain consistent communication with Regional Sales Management and company leadership; providing marketing intelligence and customer insights as they become available
· Operate professionally, representing the culture of SIA with integrity, honesty and hustle

Qualifications
Core Competencies, Skills and Experience Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree or higher
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in medical device sales (preferably Aesthetics, Plastic or General Surgery)
· Independently verifiable track record of measurable sales success
· Ability to build and maintain relationships with key company stakeholders, including surgeons and other clinicians, hospital administrators and patients
· Ability to work independently and in a team setting
· Familiarity with medical device reimbursement processes (Preferred)
· Demonstrated experience selling new products (Preferred)
· Knowledge of healthcare setting etiquette (operating room experience preferred)
· Experience educating or influencing targeted customers
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
· Strong negotiating skills
· Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
