About the role:
We are looking for an exceptional individual to be the first hire in our Finance team. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the day to day finance operations and reporting structure. You’ll have significant exposure to and involvement with all finance-led activities - board packs, shareholder management and commercial negotiations. While you will be supported by an external accountancy firm, you will own the financial accounts and be responsible for introducing robust processes and frameworks. You should therefore be a confident self-starter who likes creating process from scratch.
Key responsibilities will include:
Developing budgets and financial forecasts for the company for 1-5 yrs
Owning reconciliations, invoice creation, managing accounts payables, payroll, fixed assets and expenses.
Producing quarterly reports for the management team and board
Analysing revenue growth opportunities
Designing and implementing key financial processes and controls to support a rapidly scaling business.
Produce monthly board packs, including management accounts and KPI analysis.
Management of day to day accounts and cashflows
Payroll, statutory reporting and tax work.
Lead on the automation of transactional finance tasks
Manage and analyse SaaS subscription and automate reporting.
Compile and manage R&D tax applications
Keep up to date with financial governance on behalf of the company
Maintain relationships with relevant third parties
Things we are looking for:
Fully qualified accountant
2+ years post qualification Experience
Understand end-to-end finance and accounting process in a tech-driven B2B SaaS business
Be proactive in seeking solutions and implementing change
Advanced Excel skills - strong financial modeler and data manipulation
Comfortable creating and implementing process from nothing
Love solving complex problems and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Be exceptionally diligent and detail-oriented while knowing when something is "good enough"
Be well versed with tools like Xero & Receipt Bank as well as others to make accounting run seamlessly across the organisation
Ambitious, positive, energetic and smart person
Work in a highly organised and efficient manner, with great attention to detail.
Passion/experience/knowledge of fashion and production supply chains (a bonus)
