strongDM is looking for its first Director, People to infuse those goals into our daily routines as we scale. This person will do all of the above :) plus be responsible for organizational structure, company collaboration, implementing leadership and development for employees and managers alike.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Help us scale and recruit a fully distributed team
Plan and execute company’s annual offsite
Establish and own everything related to employees and growth, including talent acquisition, employment processing, compensation, benefits, training and development, and employee relations and retention
Propose and implement a transparent compensation system
Own all employee-facing materials as it relates to training and ongoing communication, including policies, procedures, and disseminating company values.

Requirements:

Experience in engineering-oriented companies and cultures, especially with distributed teams
Ambiguity is the name of the game… own this role and the autonomy that comes with it to make decisions
In-depth knowledge and understanding of talent acquisition, management strategies and recruiting teams
Excellent judgement and tact, with ability to communicate sensitively in the most crucial conversations
Be mature, polished, and with strong self-motivation
6+ years in HR or relevant experience
