Consumer's awareness around nutrition is undergoing a massive shift. Nutrition is becoming hyper-personalized but the trust in our food ecosystem is broken. Consumers are realizing that one diet or way of eating doesn't work for everyone and each person has their own unique needs. A typical millennial will tweak their diet on average, every week and a half constantly trying to improve their health.

In response to this, thousands of brands have risen to address these needs from keto bars to plant-based cheeses. In fact, nearly 20k new food + bev products get created every single year. Although this is the case, the problem we face is trust in our food system is broken. Grocery store incentives are misaligned: what's on the shelf isn't what's best for you, it's what has the biggest marketing budget. Labels on products or online can't be trusted and have to be double checked. Yet Food is highly sensitive as it goes into our bodies.
We live in an outdated, archaic ecosystem that hasn't been innovated and put the consumer in the forefront.
