About you

A technically minded, commercially aware Technical/CRM Consultant ready to extend your skills and experience within our talented New York team, at the forefront of Customer Insights.

Using a blend of technical ability and commercial awareness, you will form lasting client partnerships, working closely with our clients to implement CRM solutions in a wide range of industries and applications. You’ll feel right at home across all areas of digital transformation project delivery, from sales to support.


About the role

Reporting to the Technical Director, and working alongside a Project Manager, you will join the close-knit Squiz New York team as a Technical Consultant, and lead our ongoing SugarCRM projects onwards to success. Using your business analysis and strong conceptual thinking skills, clients will approach you with all kinds of business problems - problems that you will distill down to elegant CRM processes and / or features.

You will provide technical guidance for ongoing and upcoming SugarCRM projects and will be expected to gather requirements, solution design, build specification for a remote delivery team, quality assurance, and then the delivery of the solution to the client, addressing any client feedback and suggested refinements, as per a scope of work set by the Technical Director and Project manager.

You will also be expected to provide day to day support to our clients on both a software and infrastructure level, o/e/ logging into servers, inspecting logs, debugging network connectivity, to identify the crux of any support issues that you will then work with our Support and Infrastructure team to resolve.

You will not be stage shy. This role will require you to be heavily client facing - give presentations, run workshops, challenge ideas - helping you build your consultation skills to form long lasting and successful relationships with your clients and coworkers.

Requirements

With a minimum of 12 months' experience in a Technical Solutions or CRM Consultant capacity, you will have proven confidence with the following:

* Strong conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to create diagrams and visual representations of problems and solutions
* Experience with SugarCRM or equivalent CRM software
* Consulting with clients to ensure requirements, research and priorities are aligned
* Knowledge of web technology, architecture, and SaaS products (PHP, Javascript, XML, JSON, JIRA, Server Configuration)
* Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills
* Experience with agile project management, change management
* A fast and pragmatic learner, able to adapt to new products and technology quickly
* Exceptional stakeholder management and client facing experience, with good written and spoken communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail with fluent written and spoken English
* Software engineering, implementation, prototyping and product development
* A Bachelor’s Degree Majoring in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Technology or equivalent
* Command line experience, comfortable navigating within a Linux file system, with a good understanding of basic debugging tools

Bonus points for:

* Sales and bid support, cost management and business case generation
* Experience in Java, Perl, Groovy or Python
* Experience with facilitating software development best practices (architecture, development, version control, code reviews)
* Experience working with Higher Education or Government clients

* This role is based in our 5th Avenue, New York office - interstate applicants may apply, but relocation costs are currently not being considered
