Spinlister is a startup that is also an established brand and product. We have a brand, we have a product, and we have a demand. Looking for an in office developer to work with the team to troubleshoot on a daily basis, manage the database, as well as work on some projects and sprints. Candidate will work with the lead engineer who has been on the team since not long after it's conception in 2012, he is part time on this but has been overseeing the development. May also be working with and overseeing offshore development teams we've worked with in the past for larger projects.

This is an opportunity to get in early and have ownership in the regrowth of an established tech company. With a new executive team, new funding, and a new philosophy to take Spinlister to its full potential.

We are looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails engineer to help us improve our Web App and mobile API. Salary and equity offerings are competitive and depend on experience.

You will be responsible for:

- Maintaining and extending the Spinlister website and mobile API.

- Actively collaborating to create and implement product requirements.

- Working with our iOS engineer to keep features in sync.

Your background:

- Extensive Ruby on Rails experience (3.2 and later).

- Juggles Git Pull Requests for breakfast.

- Demands writing clear, concise, scalable code.

- Experience building RESTful APIs.

- Experience deploying, scaling, and optimizing complex web applications.

- Crusader against the latest menace in the dark security arts. This includes libraries and best practices.

Brownie Points:

- Familiarity with CoffeeScript, HAML, and/or SASS.

- Experience with NGNIX, Heroku, Redis and/or Postgres.
