Based in San Francisco, Spin is a diverse team of engineers, designers, urban planners, policymakers, lawyers and operators with experience from Y Combinator, Lyft, Uber, local and federal government, and the transportation advocacy world. Spin was known for launching the first stationless mobility program in Seattle, and has since expanded to become the exclusive electric scooter partner in mid-sized cities like Coral Gables, Florida and Lexington, Kentucky, and one of a few permitted scooter operators in large cities like Denver, Detroit, and Washington, D.C. The team embeds in cities and neighborhoods to understand their specific transportation needs, and hires locally from the community.

Spin is expanding quickly and looking for top-tier talent to help us bring affordable and accessible transportation options to cities and define what future safe streets will look like.

About the Role

Spin Product Managers build next generation transportation products, alongside our engineering, data, and design teams. 

You will be driving the development of world class platforms, infrastructure, and data products that powers millions of rides, and define a new generation of systems that power mobility. In this role you will have an opportunity to define successful platforms and enable key aspects of our business to scale. The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about high quality platform design and software development process to accomplish business goals.

We are looking for technical minded Product Managers to innovate and execute strategic product initiatives across our fast growing, multidisciplinary company.


Responsibilities
* Work with the engineering and data teams to understand and build the products we need to ensure we have high performant and reliable systems, and components that improve the productivity of the teams.
* Completely own your team's products - existing or new - from ideation to launch, growth and iteration.
* Collaborate and work closely with executives, engineering, customer service and operations teams to develop strategy and roadmaps.
* Identify key platform success metrics that validate progress towards business goals.
* Investigate and identify key technologies and capabilities to drive a platform vision for current and future markets.
* Ensure new partners can integrate seamlessly and measure the performance of the Platform APIs through established set of KPIs.
* Lead and establish a shared product vision across functional teams, from engineers, designers, analysts, marketers, to policy and operations.
* Communicate roadmaps, priorities, experiments and decisions across a wide spectrum of stakeholders from partner teams to executive levels.

Qualifications
* Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience - ie. product management or equivalent experience.
* Background in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline, with an expertise in infrastructure and data
* Passion for personal mobility and transportation.
* Metrics driven - be comfortable defining and analyzing metrics that inform the success of products.
* Strong communication skills and intuition for communication strategy at every level -- from within your teams to the wider company and our users.
* Proven track record of working with engineers and empowering them to develop and launch quality platform products and services.
* Familiar with web-services standards, best practices and have experience developing REST based API products and services.
* Experience building high availability, high throughput and low latency systems.
* Familiarity with a cloud technology stack and a programming language is a plus.
