What is Sparrho?

Sparrho’s vision is to democratise science. We are simplifying scientific content for brands so that they can build trust in the market - we describe our USP as ‘Content-as-a-Service. Since 2018 we have been focused on taking our Content-as-a-Service offering to the B2B market.

You will join a team of highly-skilled, fun, energetic and inspiring people from all over the world, including Germany, Hungary, Poland, Cyprus, Australia, USA and India. We are united in our mission to build Sparrho as it becomes the foremost leader in generating open access to science.

Role & responsibilities

Based in Central London you will be part of a fast-paced and energetic startup that is commercially focused and rewards out of the box thinking and creativity.

You will be empowered to make a significant impact on our Marketing department, by executing demand generation activities - working closely with the Commercial team to plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive engagement, lead generation and sales throughout the full funnel.

You will also be responsible for managing and delivering a range of content initiatives that will drive engagement and push awareness of the business. You will work closely with our internal Editorial team to leverage and develop a rich content plan for our B2B and B2C audiences.

You will be responsible for:

- Organising and executing end-to-end marketing campaigns (from concept to implementation to assessment)
- Experimenting with conversion and creating / optimising landing pages
- Creating landing pages in our CMS and responsible for reporting from web analytics tools (Google Analytics or similar)
- Periodically and proactively engaging with our existing users and target communities on our external platforms (e.g. Twitter, LinkedIn)
- Running and owning Ad campaigns (Google, Linkedin)
- Liaising with the Community Manager to help enhance the experience our community has on our platform
- Working with our PR Consultant to coordinate event attendance & brand identity activities
- Developing and executing our content strategy; delivering engaging content for B2B & B2C target audiences
- Conducting market research to assist the Sales team
- Assisting the Sales team with drip and quarterly campaigns

What is unique about this role:

You will work with an experienced Commercial team that is landing and expanding into new markets, industry segments and geographical areas. You will have to be on your toes to constantly learn and adapt. Like any startup, we are moving forward at a rapid pace, but we will look at you to give us honest advice about markets we are venturing into.

The trajectory for the role:

While this role will start with you working hand-in-hand with the CEO, you would be expected to take complete ownership of the brand over a period of 6 months. The existing Commercial team will work with you during that period as your sounding board. After the 6 month period, you will own Sparrho’s entire Marketing function. Eventually, you will also get the opportunity to build out your own team.

What we are looking for:

Your Personality:
- Easy going with a strong drive to succeed
- Strong sense of ownership
- Prior experience with startups
- Love for diverse reading is an absolute must
- Willing to take the lead
- Does not shy away from writing
- If you have taken a break from work for whatever reason, we would still love to meet you

Your Background

- 5-8 years of experience in marketing and digital marketing (20/80 splits)
- At least 3 years of experience in inbound marketing
- Strong understanding of CTAs
- Prior experience in the B2C market is desired
- Comfortable with HubSpot, Salesforce
- Comfortable in a data-driven environment
- Prior experience of collaborating with sales team members

25 Days vacation + 8 days bank holiday
9:30 - 17:30 working hours Monday to Friday
