The Onboarding Project Manager’s mandate is simple: Own and improve the “go-live” process of apartment in new Sonder buildings. You will be responsible for managing the entire logistical process from taking over a building to handing over each apartment unit to our hospitality operations team.

Considering Sonder’s expansion plans both within Miami and throughout South Florida, there will be great opportunities for extraordinary personal and professional growth for you.

• Own the the full onboarding process from arranging furniture deliveries to organizing move-in day to managing photoshoots, and everything in between
• Ensure key vendors and internal stakeholders deliver complete apartments on time and on budget
• Manage, hire, and develop an onboarding team in Miami and South Florida to ensure all new apartment units meet design and operational brand standards
• Build and manage strong business relationships with local vendors, installers, and logistics partners
• Problem solve delivery and installation challenges on the spot and constantly improve the efficiency and cost of the onboarding process, while maintaining the highest level of guest satisfaction
• Partner with HQ to ensure furniture deliveries are properly accounted for and our asset registry system is always up to date
• Work closely with the Head of Real Estate to understand when new locations are coming online, and with the Operations Manager to guarantee new apartments are guest-ready.

• 5-7 years of professional experience, including people management
• Experience with large-scale project management and/or event coordination
• Past experience with early/mid stage startups, procurement, logistics or supply chain a plus
• A perfectionist with exceptional organizational skills
• A proven track record of prioritizing numerous tasks in order to meet tight deadlines
• The ability to independently plan and complete projects without direct supervision
• A willingness and enthusiasm to get your hands dirty when needed - be it in carrying a TV or assembling a sofa - whatever it takes to get the job done
• Knowledge of furniture, fixture and equipment (FF&E) or architectural/interior finishes, a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to identify and convey critical information to management quickly and precisely
• A professional presence when interacting with senior management, external clients, and vendors
• A consummate team player who cultivates a positive culture, coaching the team, and is comfortable managing up and down
• A creative thinker that challenges assumptions and wants to participate in innovating hospitality operations with us
• Proficiency with the Google suite of applications; Slack and Asana experience preferred
• Multi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.
