We’re looking for a Head of L&D to join our team. This isn’t a typical L&D role. Sure we need employee and leadership development but we want to differentiate our programs to meet our high expectations. We want to create leadership development programs that teach our leaders how to inspire their teams to passionately engage in their work and own their careers. We are looking for a leader who knows the importance of behavioral motivators and has built programs that align behavioral drivers to success for each position. We want an expert to join us who studies human engagement and motivation; then translates that into programs that meaningfully impact employee experience. Being the world leader of defining and building employee experience programs is no small task. We have a lot of ground up work to do. You in?

* Build an internal university that gives our employees the training and skills they need to grow their career internally. Think big! We only hire the best so it’s critical that we invest in our employees futures. If they can think of a role that solves a business challenge and they want it, we should prepare them for it
* Create leadership development programs that inspire leaders to invest in their own self learning and share that knowledge with their teams
* Digitize the learning experience and make it as engaging as an in-person experience. We have a highly distributed workforce who won’t be able to attend all trainings in person
* Understand and appreciate cultural differences when building employee development programs. We’re international where different countries have different norms. We want to ensure the learning experience is exceptional across the globe
* Engage as a strategic thought partner with the VP, People and the rest of the Sonder team exploring the training needs of the company so we can build cutting edge programs
* Have a simple purpose and reason for every program. Define and commit to measurable results

* Self-starter who is excited to be part of a kick a$$ team building the most amazing employee experience in the world
* Highly engaging and approachable expert with at least 7 years of experience building innovative and creative employee developmental programs for all levels of the company
* Solid experience building L&D programs for a widely distributed, national and international workforce
* Fun sense of humor and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
