At Sonder we're reimagining travel, hospitality, and how cities are experienced. Sonder started a little over 3 years ago and is now active in 13 markets and 1200+ locations. We have over 200 employees and are headquartered in San Francisco.

We are building the world's first deconstructed hotel - with apartments, houses, condos, villas, and lofts that you can book at a moment's notice. Each location, in a unique and explorable neighborhoods, is one-of-a-kind and hand-picked by Sonder. Our units are designed by our talented interior designers and serviced by us to our exact standards: 24/7 concierge service, Wi-Fi, professionally cleaned homes, comfortable beds, crisp linens, and over 200 other standards.

• Work closely with the Senior Director of Expansion to develop new market selection and execution plan.
• Write the market launch play books and continually refine them over time.
• Train and onboard local business development and real estate managers in new and existing markets.
• Develop sales training and monitoring tools to ensure a high performing sales team.
• Become an expert at Salesforce while ensuring full compliance with Sonder business development procedures and driving improvements to the process when shortcomings are identified.
• Be okay with extended travel.

• You’ve mastered the art of presenting a value proposition and handling objections while inspiring trust.
• You have and build powerful networks.
• You can find your way to anyone in the city, particularly when it comes to real estate.
• You are analytical, decisive and have the entrepreneurial drive to craft and implement a strategic plan for property acquisition.
• You have experience in a real estate related role and can design sophisticated partnerships in order to create long-term value.
• You have experience in real estate development and are familiar with the process to get a project from conceptualization through permitting to final execution.
• You’re an overachiever. You set high goals and then exceed them.
• You can deftly navigate the public policy environment and have a knack for understanding and influencing the legal/regulatory framework.
• You’re a strategic thinker who has led organizations through rapid growth.
• You’re an outstanding communicator with the ability to communicate complex deals in simple terms to a variety of stakeholders in different locations and from different backgrounds.
• Experience with: Residential & Commercial Real Estate, Relationship Management, Lead Generation, City Level Public Policy, Hospitality Real Estate, and Deal Closing.
• Minimum five years of experience related to leadership of real estate, sales, hospitality, travel, or accommodation related businesses.
• Self starter with a sense of humor and the ability to thrive in a fast moving environment.
