Technical Architect

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Technical Architect to design IT systems and oversee software delivery programs to ensure the proper architecture is implemented.

In this role, you should be an excellent communicator who is able to translate complex requirements into functional & technical architecture. We’d also like you to have hands-on experience on software development and be able to manage complex programs.

Your goal will be to ensure our software development team delivers projects as per the architecture designed by you.

Responsibilities:

• Understand customer needs to define IT system specifications
• Plan and design the structure of a technology solution
• Communicate system requirements to software development teams
• Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware and suggest integration methods
• Oversee assigned programs (e.g. conduct code reviews) and provide guidance to team members
• Assist with solving technical problems when they arise
• Ensure the implementation of agreed architecture and infrastructure
• Address technical concerns, ideas and suggestions
• Monitor systems to ensure they meet both user needs and business goals
• Work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor progress of initiatives

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Technical Architect or Solutions Architect.
• Hands-on experience with software development and system administration - it is absolutely critical for us that the Technical Architect can get their hands dirty if our developers get stuck. The Technical Architect should be able to code, review PRs, ensure code quality, design modular workflow driven systems, point out hard coding and set examples of good quality code.
• Understanding of strategic IT solutions
• Experience in project management and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
• Knowledge of coding languages (e.g. JavaScript, NodeJS, AngularJS, RESTful APIs)
• Familiarity with various operating systems (e.g. Windows, UNIX) and databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB)
• Experience in cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure) and DevOps
• Excellent communication skills
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Organizational and leadership skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience related to IT Management or other information technology solutions architecture role
• Prior knowledge of Blockchain Technology (Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, Corda) will be a plus.
