Company OverviewFaaS (food as a service) company SnackNation has rebranded itself Caroo as it experiences rapid-growth, expands its employee care offerings & launches a SaaS platform to pair-up with its direct-to-employee logistics solution. “We never saw SnackNation as a food or snack company. It was always an employee care company,” said Sean Kelly, Caroo’s CEO.

We now live in a work-from-anywhere economy. In this new world, employees and employers are facing new challenges. Work culture is rapidly evolving and leaders are trying to determine how to take care of their teams. Outdated and expensive employee care solutions focus solely on the physical office space and are one-size-fits-all. Only one option exists to provide economical, personalized care in the work-from-anywhere world, which requires data, AI and forecasting to be most effective and efficient.

To take advantage of this opportunity and leverage the company's current positioning and core competencies, Caroo is expanding beyond food and drink delivery to become a software-enabled employee care platform that will manage and deliver all of a company's tangible care needs. Over the past few months, the company has already signed up more than 3,000 new enterprise clients with their various wellness box solutions. A product-zeitgeist fit exists, and Caroo is focused on becoming the market leader in this new world of work.

Caroo curates healthier snacks, premium gifts, and team building experiences which it is delivering via its own software and technology platform. The shift comes after the dramatic shift to remote work due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Because work is far less office-centric, it has launched such products as an Inspire Collection and Amplify Box, products which are designed to help work-from-anywhere employees feel inspired, cared for, and appreciated. Those offerings include curated healthy snacks and beverages, gifts, and team-building experiences all designed to connect employees, recognize them (celebrations, anniversaries, birthdays, onboarding), and nourish them month-over-month.

Position SummaryThe Caroo Products & Merchandising (P&M) team is on a mission to nourish and inspire our members with the best products we can find. And to do that, we’re looking to hire a passionate, experienced Brand Partnership Team Manager to manage our rockstar Brand Partnerships team.

The Brand Partnerships Team Manager will oversee our Brand Partnership Managers to assist each individual in prospecting, pipeline management, and contract negotiation to continue to meet our volume and margin targets. The Brand Partnerships Team Manager will also support each Brand Partnership Manager in their professional development and achievement of their quarterly goals. In addition to supporting our Brand Partnerships Team, the Brand Partnerships Team Manager will work closely with the Vice President of P&M to develop new services, offerings, and products for our brand partners.

This role will be pivotal in the development and execution of our sourcing strategies across many departments, so strong organizational and communication skills are essential. We’re looking for an experienced team manager that exemplifies servant leadership, challenges their team to get better every day, and is committed to developing the greatest disruptive platform for CPG brands to reach their target audience. This role will report directly to the Vice President of P&M and sit on the P&M Leadership Team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Achieve a monthly/quarterly/annual sales goal with specific gross margin targets
  • Drive ad hoc procurement strategy for Caroo to support rapid new product development
  • Deliver weekly/monthly reporting on all sales metrics
  • Daily management of individuals on Brand Partnerships team
  • Work closely with Operations team to validate forecasts and volumes for BP team
  • Manage and implement new sales training materials as services grow/adapt
  • Review and score Brand Partnership Manager calls
  • Develop Sales Training methodology to improve the following metrics: conversion rate, length of sale, call score, average deal size
  • Act as part of the P&M Leadership Team to develop, implement, and drive strategy across department
  • Nurture P&M to Operations hand-off best practices to improve purchasing metrics and timely receiving
  • Support insight initiatives to improve quality of data and deliverable reported to brand partners
  • Represent the company at trade shows and other networking events
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and cultivate trusted relationships with clients
  • Navigate corporate structures to identify decision makers and determine buying process
  • Drive excellence and efficiencies in working cross-functionally with Member Success, Operations, Finance, and Sales.
  • Work harmoniously in a collaborative and transparent cross-functional environment​

The Successful Candidate Will Be

  • 3-5 years of sales management and/or team management experience, and a proven record of meeting and exceeding team goals and supporting individuals to improve within their roles
  • 5- 7 years of sales and/or account management experience, and a proven record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • 2-3 years Sourcing and Procurement Experience
  • CPG industry experience a plus/bonus
  • RFP/RFQ experience
  • Price/Purchasing Negotiation Skills
  • Extensive experience formulating, presenting, and executing team strategy
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with understanding of project management principles and processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills, an enthusiastic attitude, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams
