Job Summary:
SMR Worldwide (smr-worldwide.com) is seeking an organized, proactive individual who gets deep into the weeds. He/she will shoulder the responsibility of maximizing profit for our Taunton, MA and/or Indianapolis, IA processing facility and operating P&L statements. The first three to six months of this role will revolve around identifying and prioritizing KPIs and setting up coordinated floor and system processes to unobtrusively but dynamically measure performance.

The next 'n' years will focus on developing and leading various improvements in operational discipline, efficiency, security, and quality. We are looking for the perpetual optimizer, someone who is never satisfied with the status quo, and who challenges himself/herself and others to chase perfection.

Essential Job Functions:
- Identify operational gaps, build new processes with stakeholders, create a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) from the processes, and obtain approvals for the SOP for products and new business models
- Manage daily staffing and effective resource allocation to maximize process efficiency - meeting or exceeding customer SLA’s while minimizing labor costs and meeting daily inbound/outbound schedule requirements.
- Maintain departmental metrics ensure they are kept current and accurate. Work diligently to learn, understand and be fully functional in all system platforms as it pertains to the departmental responsibilities.
- Ensure there is optimal fit between people, process, and technology (tools).
- Auditing organizational efficiency as the advocate for customer objectives
- Coordinate and work collaboratively with other departments, internal and external, to ensure that the facility as a whole can function as efficiently and effectively as possible. Provide business and technical leadership necessary to ensure both the department and facility meet and/or exceed goals in critical success areas (Cost/Quality, System Utilization, Health, Safety and Environment). Maintains Material Safety Data Sheet
- Track departmental budget and as applicable take appropriate actions to ensure that departmental budget goals are achieved.
- Drive Continuous Improvement and total employee involvement in critical success areas by empowering employees to utilize Lean manufacturing tools.
- Manage, develop and motivate direct reporting staff
- To ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all members of staff
- Anticipate, identify, and drive resolution of technical challenges and inter-dependencies to reduce friction for customers
- Demonstrate the ability to earn trust with those that have different perspectives, backgrounds and skill sets
- Establish regular communication cadence for senior management on process progress and performance issues.
- Assists in hiring, training, performance evaluation for direct reports

Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge, & Qualities:
- Have a background in industrial and/or process engineering
- Have 5+ years’ experience in the IT Asset Disposition industry
- Have 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing, supply chain, and/or (reverse) logistics
- Have exceptional ability with process and work instruction development and implementation
- Demonstrate comfort with KPI development and implementation
- Have previous management experience in hyper-growth companies
- Be motivated to creatively solve complex, ambiguous problems in a dynamic, fast-face environment
- Be rigorously disciplined and hold himself/herself and others fully accountable to exceed to committed expectations
- Be an excellent communicator and self-confident in articulating his/her fact-based opinions to not just the operations vertical but sales, HR, finance, and IT as well
- Demonstrate ability to motivate and energize others in a team-based setting to agree and work on operational targets
- Up to 20% travel

Salary band: $80,000 - $90,000
YE Bonus Target: 20% of annual salary
