TECH LEAD / ENGINEERING MANAGER

SmartServ(www.smartserv.io) is a product startup from the house of award-winning SaaS business solutions. SmartServ's founding team consists of UW Madison, UC Berkeley alumni with strong-domain knowledge having built top-notch products and implementing them at Fortune 500 companies.

SmartServ is on a mission to build a powerful AI-powered assistant enabling service business' to focus and increase their sales metrics by scoring on lead opportunities which are ideally lost in the field. We are constantly mining recommendations to help service contractors gain efficiency and helping them spend more time in front of customers, not computers. Our customers stay in control of their business and have visibility into the most important data and metrics required and we give them insights to do more.

We are in the hunt for someone who is Entrepreneurial, Self-starter, and has the capability to drive the technology front at the venture and provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of our business. Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role.

If we accept you as a TECH LEAD/ ENGiNEERING MANAGER, you will be joining an exciting startup at the earliest stages and will have the opportunity to shape our technology roadmap and vision.

Key responsibilities will include

1.Establishing our technical vision and lead all aspects of our Product development
2.Take ownership of the End-to-end availability and performance of our product.
3.Prepare technology strategy and design the solutions for scalability keeping in mind all present and future requirements as per company’s budget
4.Checking the feasibility of new features and breaking them down and defining deadlines for the same.
5.Guiding team, with architecture & schema including the development of new features and bug fixes
6.Code review and Deployment
7.You will work hand in hand with our founder and will play a key role in defining our Engineering excellence culture, shaping our product, and building our business.
8.This position requires sound technical judgment that transcends specific technologies, along with an uncanny ability to solve the hardest problems.

You will fit right in, If you

1.Have relevant experience of 4+ years
2.Have hands-on expertise in coding. Doesn’t shy away from getting the hands dirty to solve a problem.
3.Have an M.tech/ B.Tech degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
4.Have an ability to write scalable and highly reliable code that elegantly solves our customer needs
5.Love to code and is ambitious as well as hungry to make an impact.
6.Are curious, open-minded, and confident in your engineering abilities
7.Have some experience in product architecture, building enterprise applications. You love languages, libraries, and databases.
8.Are committed to building a flawless customer experience.
9.Are willing to work with our cross-functional teams to create the best possible customer experience.
10.Have a solid understanding of user-centered interaction design and agile development methodology.
11.Are able to design and write well-structured, easily maintainable, well-documented code that balances beauty and pragmatism.
12.Are smart, get stuff done, have great energy, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Must-Have Experience:

1.Experience with SOAP / Restful and AWS or Digital Ocean
2.Experience in more than one database (NoSQL database & mongo) & SQL.
3.Good coding skills in Javascript, Node JS.
4.Proficiency in Express JS, Backbone JS, Handlebars JS, MongoDB.
5.Should have worked both on Frontend as well as Backend development.
