KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The UI/UX Designer position works with all disciplines while driving design directions from conceptual development through final implementation; recognizing aesthetic and visual design. The UI/UX Designer is able to do rapid prototyping, comfortable with various methodologies from free-hand sketching to white-board facilitation to pixel-perfect wire framing.

Specific responsibilities include:
•Provide hands-on expertise and leadership in the development of information architecture deliverables including site maps, user flows, UI sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and features and functions specifications
•Provide thought leadership in the heuristic evaluations and competitive audits on existing sites/ properties for usefulness, usability, visual design, content, and branding
•Facilitate and drive consensus in participatory requirements generation sessions such as feature and function brainstorms, rapid prototyping, and emotion brainstorms
•Seek innovative and intuitive approaches to interaction design
•Conduct usability testing sessions as well as in-context behavioral research; Analyze, synthesize and organize research data into meaningful themes, categories, and visually compelling user models and recommendations including personas, scenarios, and storyboards
•Function in a diverse, friendly and highly technical environment
•Negotiate for the best UX without being dogmatic
•Juggle ambiguity without drowning in it
•Communicate, specify and describe designs to researchers, developers, testers, PMs, senior leadership and other designers without ambiguity and within deadlines
•Work closely with a team of Product Managers to create a cohesive intuitive user experience (page layouts, palettes, typography, etc) across all our products
•Practice a highly efficient, iterative design process with light documentation to support your vision
•Focus on visual deliverables using visual styling, wireframes, workflow diagrams, and interactive mockups
•Working collaboratively, providing thought leadership and exchanging ideas among multi-disciplinary teams to bring out the best solutions
•Mentor, train and coach team members on UI/UX discipline
•Personally and through your team, espouse and demonstrate the values in everyday interactions both inside and outside of the company
•Other duties as assigned

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
•At least 5 years of experience in an interactive agency or internet consultancy as User Experience and/or User Interface Designer, Interaction Designer, Information Architect, or similar role
•A strong portfolio with demonstrated examples of designing excellent user-centered experiences and applications
•Expertise leading a broad spectrum of user-centered design activities including, requirements gathering and analysis, user research and persona development, heuristic reviews and competitive audits, usability testing and use case development, functional modeling and task flow creation, information architecture, sitemap and wireframe development, taxonomies and metadata frameworks, multi-channel experience framework and strategy development, etc
•Track record of strong leadership, negotiation, influence, and collaboration across teams
Excellent communication (written and verbal,) organizational, and client interaction skills
•Proficiency in the following applications: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe ImageReady, Flash, Adobe Dreamweaver, Azure, Balsamiq, Sketch and/or other HTML editing software
•Knowledge of and experience with technologies used in web site front-ends, including but not limited to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
•Experience with Flash is a plus
•Ability to scope out next generation web technologies and trends
•Experience with design of widely used web apps
