In this position you will work closely with the CEO ad the Higher Education business development team. Your primary objective is to share Shindig's value proposition with prospective Higher Education clients as well as convert them through the sales cycle. The ideal candidate would have one to two years business development experience and/or sales experience selling to higher education, knowledge of CRM's and of best practice email marketing.
You should be a creative & driven individual with a passion for taking on new challenges. You're someone who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment. You're a self-starter enthusiastic to join a team reinventing education and communications.
Bachelor's degree (BA, BS or BBA)
1-3 years experience working in business development or sales (preferably with higher education, technology media and online media)
Be strong persuasive speaker with experience selling SAAS model platforms
Excellent written and oral communication skills a must
Strong organizational skills with ability to work in a very fast paced environment
Fast-learner and keen attention to detail
Knowledge of all social media tools, and current array of digital marketing techniques essential.
Must be comfortable with spreadsheets, business modeling, PowerPoints, CRM (we use Pipeline) and email marketing tools.
Proficient in Google Drive
Experience with partnerships a plus
Must be self-motivated, proactive and a team player
